The Sabre Scene, a publication of The New Community School, is a newsletter for parents and caregivers of TNCS students. This helpful publication provides information about the school's calendar and activities, explains its traditions and expectations, and highlights the accomplishments of TNCS students, faculty and staff. About Dyslexia

  • TNCS developed and published teacher manuals used in public and private school settings.  A national publishing house now handles these books.

  • TNCS faculty members conduct local and national workshops and seminars to share their knowledge of teaching dyslexic young people.

  • TNCS hosts a Summer School program for middle school students and a Professional Institute for educators and parents.
Summer Programs

TNCS offers a Middle School Summer Program for rising 6-8th graders and a Professional Institue for parents, teachers and administrators.

Middle School focus on improving skills in reading, writing, mathematics, keyboarding, organization and physical fitness. The Professional Institute offers strategies to help students succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
