Courses for Professionals & Parents

The New Community School Summer Program also offers unique opportunities for teachers, school administrators, and parents who want to learn more about dyslexia. These classes offer an in-depth look at pertinent topics on dyslexia education, enabling adults to learn what dyslexia is, how it manifests itself in and out of the classroom, and strategies to increase the dyslexic persons chance for success in school and life. Courses may count for CEU to use toward teaching certification renewal.

Scholarships are available to parents and teachers as a result of a gift from the Learning Disabilities Council. Please contact the school for details.

Download the Summer School Brochure by clicking here. To find out more, call us at 804.266.2494 ext. 18 or send us an e-mail.
